Harry Davy is a visual artist living and working in Cornwall. He was brought up in an artistic family surrounded by pictures from British and New Zealand artists. He has drawn, painted, designed and made all sorts of things from early childhood. He always had an interest in biology and natural history and has a degree in Physiological Sciences from Oxford University. He taught in rural primary schools in Oxfordshire for a few years having gained a PGCE specialising in Expressive Arts. He was a partner in a design-led, ceramic-tile manufacturing company in Shropshire and had a number of years working in interior design and making before deciding to give visual art his full attention.
His painting is probably influenced by Japanese prints, Toulouse-Lautrec, Hergé, Hockney and more.
He has a great interest in the natural world and the built environment and how they collide.
He is an Associate of the Penwith Society of Artists.
